The first part of our mission atThe Way is to GO SERVE. We believe that serving is a foundational part of a relationship with God, and we believe that in serving others, we are most like Christ. Whether it’s an organized event, or an impromptu opportunity to show His love, our prayer is that serving is deeply engrained into every member of our church and seen by everyone who lives in community with the people our church.
If you’re looking to get plugged into a specific opportunity – locally or outside of our area – we are happy to give you some ideas with the ministries we support.
Shower Power is a local ministry managed by one of our very own church members. It is a hands-on ministry impacting lives with tangible needs like fresh towels, hygiene items, clothing and – yes – a hot shower! Teams from this ministry meet regularly to go serve people in need of these items, and they offer opportunities to donate items and money to provide supplies. For more information, visit www.showerpower.ms.
Castalian Springs is a Christian camp in Durant, Mississippi, with a vision of becoming all things to all people for the sake of the Gospel. Between helping with upkeep of the property and helping supply them with items for campers, there are always great opportunities to help our mission partners at Castalian Springs. For more information, visit their Facebook page here.
HISPANOLIA MOUNTAIN MINISTRIES
The Way partners with Hispaniola Mountain Ministries to connect the local community to the local church in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. We know the more we support the local church, the more God will work in and through that church to make disciples in their community, and HMM strives to make disciples in all they do. The Way takes a group on a trip to serve with HMM twice a year (around Christmas and summer). For more information on this ministry, go to www.gohmm.org.
